Ni Xia Lian (born on 4th July 1963 à Shanghai at China) is a Luxembourg table tennis player of Chinese origin.

Career

Ni Xia Lian began her international career with the Chinese national team. In the world rankings, she was ranked No. 6 on 25 May 1983.2. In 1983 in Tokyo, she won with the Chinese player Guo YuehuaShe went on to win the world championship in mixed doubles. Two years later, at the World Championships in Gothenburg, she won the silver medal with Chinese player Cao Yanhua, this time in women's doubles. She has twice won the European champion in 1998 and 2002, and on three occasions the Europe's top 12 table tennis teams3. It represents the Luxembourg in international competition from 19913.

Ni Xia Lian took part in the Luxembourg five times at the Olympic Gamesin 2000 à Sydneywhere she was eliminated in the first round of the doubles and the second round of the singles, in 2008 à Beijing where she lost in the third round of the singles, in 2012 à London where she lost in the second round of the singles1,4in 2016 à Rio de Janeiro where she lost in the third round of the singles and in the 2021 à Tokyo where she lost in the second round of the singles. She was awarded the title of Luxembourg Sportswoman of the Year in 20015.

She was bronze medallist in the singles event at the 2019 European Games.

She was bronze medallist in women's doubles at the 2021 world championships in Houston. 6
