Rachel Moretborn on à Morgesis a table tennis based in Préverenges. She has won the Swiss singles title three times, in 2009, 2012 and 2014.

Biography

She started out playing tennis, but it was at the age of twelve that she discovered her passion for table tennis. It was at the Morges swimming pool that the Vaudoise first became interested in ping-pong: thanks to her victory, she won the prize of a free year's subscription to the CTT Forward Morges [archive]the Morgian table tennis club. "I was hooked straight away", says the young woman.1. Since then, she has never stopped hitting the little white ball, training twenty hours a week.

At the same time as her sporting career, the table tennis player obtained a diploma from the Vaud University of Teacher Educationa title she hopes one day to be able to use to help children, teaching being her second great passion.2.

Sports career

Rachel Moret started playing table tennis at the age of twelve at the CTT Forward Morges [archive]with her brother. Both passionate about this little-known racket sport, the results at regional level have encouraged Rachel to step up her training in order to reach national level.

At the age of 15, she joined the junior national team, giving her the opportunity to take part in numerous international competitions with the Swiss team. She joined the elite national team at the age of 18.

Rachel Moret decided to pursue her career in the French league, where the standard of play is much higher than in Switzerland, in order to gain more experience, take on new players and continue her progress. She signed forEntente Pongiste Isséenne located in the Paris region.
